Well, its been a while since I've gotten around to updating the site, but Mandy and I have been busy. We've planned a charity walk in May to raise funds for Jesse's Journey. You can get all the details at EndDuchenne.ca. I'm going to shave his head if I can raise $1000 in pledges, or if the entire even can raise $10,000. Its off to a scary start since I'm already above $250.
Want To Go For A Walk
Mandy and Andrew have started planning to host a local "Walk Across Canada In A Day". This is an event held in Ontario by Jesse's Journey which raises funds for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Thanks to Bing (yes, Andrew used Microsoft's Mapping tool instead of Google's), Andrew was able to put together a route for the walk. Total from start to finish is 11Km. The full walk for Jesse's Journey is 33Km, which means three times around. Yup, you read that right, 33Km. That's 20 miles for the older generation.
Cabo San Lucas
In early October, Mandy and Andrew spend a week in Cabo San Lucas. They landed on the trailing edge of a tropical storm that was passing north of Cabo and while it rained most of the night, the rest of the week was clear skies and hot humid weather.
