Its been a very busy spring here. Our walk for Jesse's Journey went better than we hoped, raising about $19,600 for research. Lots of people promised to be back next year, and we're looking forward to doing it all again.
John Davidson Stops By
On Thursday, we were fortunate enough to have John Davidson, founder of Jesse's Journey come to town and visit with us. For those who don't know, John first pushed his son wheelchair bound son, Jesse, across Ontario, and later walked across Canada. All to raise funds and awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. John is a very inspirational man, and we had a great visit with him.
Spring Is In Sight
Well, its been a while since I've gotten around to updating the site, but Mandy and I have been busy. We've planned a charity walk in May to raise funds for Jesse's Journey. You can get all the details at EndDuchenne.ca. I'm going to shave his head if I can raise $1000 in pledges, or if the entire even can raise $10,000. Its off to a scary start since I'm already above $250.
