Well, its been a while since I've gotten around to updating the site, but Mandy and I have been busy. We've planned a charity walk in May to raise funds for Jesse's Journey. You can get all the details at EndDuchenne.ca. I'm going to shave his head if I can raise $1000 in pledges, or if the entire even can raise $10,000. Its off to a scary start since I'm already above $250.
We're also fortunate in that John Davidson, founder of Jesse's Journey will be paying us a visit in March. He's going to do a presentation at the school where Noah attends and Hayden will start next year. I'm also trying to arrange some publicity for his visit within SaskTel to hopefully raise awareness as well as donations for the walk in May.
Other than that, things are going well. Mandy is enjoying working from home, and I'm enjoying working out of the Weyburn office. There's a few visits to Regina now and then, but its a small price to pay for a 4 minute drive to work, and $12/month parking. I'll actually be in Regina this coming Sunday to work the phones for Telemiracle for an hour. I volunteered through SaskTel's SEND (SaskTel Employees Network on Disabilities), and was picked to be on stage answering phones. I'll be representing SaskTel along with the Honourable Don Morgan, Minister in charge of SaskTel along with his wife.
