John Davidson Stops By

On Thursday, we were fortunate enough to have John Davidson, founder of Jesse's Journey come to town and visit with us. For those who don't know, John first pushed his son wheelchair bound son, Jesse, across Ontario, and later walked across Canada. All to raise funds and awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy. John is a very inspirational man, and we had a great visit with him.

John did a short presentation at A.P.E.S (Assiniboia Park Elementary School) where he talked about Jesse's Journey and about how school kids could get involved. Hayden will start at A.P.E.S. in the fall, and Cameron a few years later. Their cousins also attend there. There will be articles in the Weyburn Review and Weyburn This Week in the coming issues talking about John's visit and the local walk on May 15th. Remember to check out EndDuchenne.ca.
